The 14K riser provides the characteristic warmth of gold, comfortable resistance, depth and complexity to the head joint’s overall sound. Articulation is more similar to the all metal head joint.

The platinum riser allows for more precise, faster and more secure articulation.  Platinum allows for a larger range of dynamic possibilities and  increased projection at any dynamic. The platinum riser elicits more control over tone color, offering either the brilliance of silver or darkness of gold as desired.

The 14K gold tenon enhances the tone quality adding an additional level of resistance and vibrating qualities. The gold tenon also fits gold flute barrels, whereas the silver tenons do not.

The 14K rings match the body color of gold flutes with gold mechanism and also affect overall vibration.
